I take pictures.

They are already there, just waiting to be found. On the streets
of cities, in parks, in the sky, and in my own backyard.

A few points on my photography:

  1. I try to crop “in-camera” and rarely crop after the fact.
This applies to my traditional (film) photography as well.

  2. With the exception of three of the photographs displayed on the following pages, none were posed, positioned or arranged. They were photographed as they were found.

  3. When I photograph with a digital camera, I usually shoot
in the mode of the finished result, i.e., I shoot in b/w mode
for images that are finally presented in monochrome.
The exception being the duotones, which are created in
    Adobe Photoshop®.

Photography, for me, is an infinitely versatile medium. It reflects where I am, both physically and intellectually. My urban work
is quite different from the landscape and natural work–as
different as the locations themselves are.

Photography is reflective and instructive. Looking at what I caught compels me to see, to step back or look in. Ultimately, I hope it also reveals to you, the viewer, what I saw, felt and have tried to convey.
